Instafavorites from January

Last Friday I made the biggest cake I've ever made.. for 65 people (I usually only bake for maximum 20) I made the Bumblebee Cake and the guests really liked it!  //  selfie!  //  My new favorite lipstick  (Rouge Artist Intense Satin Blackcurrant (48) from Make Up For Ever.) //  I've never really liked nude nail polish before but this one I adore (i'ts the 205 Rose Bagatelle by L'OrĂ©al).

The best night in New York at TAO, they had the best peach cosmopolitans ever!  //  Entertained myself at the airport in London for a bit.  //  Felt very girl in my sweater from Forever 21 and my glittery nails.  //  Drinks after a dinner with a company.

It's Pancake time!!

These pancakes are the kind that you can eat for dessert or for Sunday brunch, well at least that's when I eat them because they're so sweet!

What you need: (for 5 portions)
2 eggs
6 dl milk
4 dl flour
1/2 dl sugar
a pinch of salt

How you make them:
Step1: Mix the eggs and the milk together.
Step2: Add the dry ingredients ( the four, sugar and salt).
Step3: Let a bit of butter melt in a frying pan that is on medium heat and then pour some of the batter in the pan, about half a dl at a time. Spread it out so that the pancake becomes quite thin. Let it become golden brown on both sides and then you're done! (now you only have to make about 20 more of them..)

Toppings: Now you just have to choose what to eat them with, you can eat them with fruit, berries, jams, Nutella, whipped cream and so much more!
When I was little my favorite way to eat them was to just sprinkle some sugar on them but now some of my favorite combinations are Nutella and bananas, Strawberries and whipped cream or whipped cream and raspberry jam.

Banana snack!

This is something that I used to eat a lot during my last year of high school, just as a snack.
Now I eat it very rarely because it's so unhealthy but it is so delicious!

What you need:
One banana
Whipped cream

How you make it:
Step1: Slice the banana and whip the cream.
Step2: Sprinkle some nutmeg and cinnamon on top of the bananas and put the whipped cream on top.
Step3: You can sprinkle some cinnamon and nutmeg on top of the whipped cream as a final touch. Hope you like it!

Long nights and Law books.

Well.. In my ''New York, I love you.'' post I said that everything would go back to normal on the blog now that I had gotten back to New York. The only little detail that I forgot to mention is that I have a huge exam on Friday.
You've got to love studying law.. It's part of my education so I can't really get around it and if I fail this exam I won't be allowed to continue after summer. So this is what my life has been about since I got back.

Lots of late nights with one or to red bulls by my side.. I don't drink coffee so Red Bull is my go-to drink during exam weeks.

Sometimes i write, sometimes i draw..

A few new favorite items

Here are some of my favorite purchases from New York!

I have a weird thing about agendas, I can't keep one for more then six months so now I found this one in New York and fell in love with it! It's from Kate Spade it's really practical and really girly
(which I looove). I'm so happy I found it! This time I really hope that I can keep this one for
more than six months but then again, I say the same thing every time I buy a new one.

I am in love with these Knock Knock pads, It was so hard to choose between the different
ones and I keep finding new places that sell them and then I just want more of them!

What can i say, I just adore the Daisy perfumes by Marc Jacobs so i had to buy this one too.

I finally found the perfect shade of red. I have been looking for a really dark red shade for about
three years now! While in New York I just ran in to sephora at the Columbus Circle mall
and looked around a bit! I always looked in the sections where they had the more expensive
brands but this time I didn't stay there and it payed off! This is the Rouge Artist Intense Satin Blackcurrant (48) from Make Up For Ever.

Very happy about these shoes, a pair of black pumps is just something that I think every girl needs,
and I found my perfect pair that are from Vince Camuto. And yes, i know that i blogged abour them
a few days ago ;).

At Viktoria's secret i found a Silk robe and night gown that I'm really happy that i bought!

I never thought i'd be one to buy a pair of Dr martens, but i did.

I've had the same wallet for two years now so I figured that it was time to find a new one that I
can use for another two years and I adore this one from Michael Kors!

New York, I love you.

So it's official, I am back home which is bitter sweet. It's great because I can start baking and blogging as usual, provide you guys some great recipes and some more how to's but needless to say I really wasn't ready to leave New York! I had such a great week there with Klara and I didn't want it to end but unfortunately all that is great has an end. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the big apple!

Upper West side from the east side of the Centeral Park reservoir.

Despite of the signs that say ''don't feel the animals'' we decided to buy a loaf of bread and distribute it to the birds, it was so cold outside (-16C) so we felt a little sorry for them. While doing that we saw this beautiful red bird that i just had to take a picture of!

Love these decorations at the Columbus circle mall!

I love how you can still see all the old advertisement on this old building and have a new
building right beside it, just love the contrast between the two!

Some small things that i bought.

Hotel: We stayed at the Urban Oasis hostel that was great! It was really clean, modern and is
located on 5 west 31st street two blocks from the Empire State! I highly recommend it!

Best night: Klara and I met up with two friends who happened to be in New York the same
week as us and went to TAO where we ate a delicious dinner and had a few to many peach
cosmopolitans (so delicious!). Overall it was just such a great night!

Klara behind her camera.

Perfection. Of course we had to stop by Magnolia Bakery for a cupcake!

Klara at Magnolia Bakery.

Loving the contrast between the old and the new again.

Our last night we decided to just stay in, eat frozen yoghurt from pinkberry and watch a movie!
Pinkberry was a block away from our hostel and when we got back from pinkberry with our frozen yoghurt it was colder then it was when we had bought it and our fruit was frozen on the outside.. Yes.. It was that cold outside.

New York

The city is like a separate world made out of concrete and beautiful buildings.
It's a place like nowhere else. It's New York, and I have arrived!
I haven't been here since 2010 and I am so incredibly happy to be back.
So far Me and Klara have just been walking around in the city, spent way to much money for only having been here for two days.
The good thing about being here with Klara is that we've both already been here with our families several times so we have already done all the touristy stuff like going up in the Rock or Empire State and all the other things you can think of, so we can just explore the city in a new more exciting way!

Walked past the LOVE sculpture (by Robert Indiana) on our way to MOMA.

Bought a pair of simple black pumps (by Vince Camuto) at Macy's today.

Klara and me.
