Vanilla cake with a fruity twist.

This is a really simple cake to make, it's not very fancy and doesn't take that long to make, maximum an hour and a half.
You can serve it warm, cold, on it's own or with vanilla cream or whipped cream.

What you need:
2 eggs
3dl sugar
150g butter
2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
4.5 dl flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1.5 dl milk
3dl rhubarb
1dl strawberries

How you make it:

Step1: Preheat your oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Then melt the butter in a pan and let it cool down, Whisk the eggs and the sugar together until it becomes a white foam and then add the butter. Mix mix mix!

Step2: In a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients together (the vanilla sugar, baking powder and flour) then in four additions add the dry mixture to the egg mixture.

Step3: Last step for making the batter s adding the milk - so do it.

Step4: butter a pan and pour the batter into it.

Step5: Cut the rhubarb and strawberries into small pieces and then sprinkle them over the batter.

Step6: Put the pan in the oven and let it bake for for 35-40 minutes, you should be able to stick a toothpick into the middle of the cake when it's done and it should come out clean.
If there's still some batter on the toothpick let the cake bake for an extra five to ten minutes and the check it again.

Hope you like it!
